Allen earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a Specialist degree from Valdosta State University.

Maurice Allen is an Army veteran who began his coaching career as a student assistant at Mary Hardin-Baylor. He has coached in Texas, Florida, and Georgia, serving as a head coach, coordinator, and assistant athletic director. Most recently, he led South Paulding High School while building a physical, fast, and disciplined program.

Allen was selected for the New York Jets Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship through Soldiers to Sidelines, working with the running backs and gaining NFL-level experience. He has developed numerous student-athletes who have advanced to the collegiate level.

Coach Allen and his wife Alyssa have four children. Jaiden, Raelynn, Olvia, Sutton.
