Coach Bobby May is entering his fifth season as Head Coach at Kell High School, where he has led the Longhorns to an overall record of 37–12, including seasons of 10–2, 9–2, 7–5, and 11–3 with a semifinal appearance.
Prior to Kell, Coach May served as Head Coach at Westlake High School, where he led the program to multiple region championships and consistent playoff success, including Elite 8 and Final Four appearances. As offensive coordinator, his unit averaged 41 points per game and reached the second round of the playoffs. Before Westlake, he was the Head Coach at Suncoast High School in Florida, leading the program to its first playoff appearance in 13 years.
Coach May is known for building strong, competitive programs by developing athletes and growing participation within the school and community. Under his leadership, 44 players have gone on to play college football, including 24 at the Division I level.
At Kell, Coach May has emphasized a culture built on discipline, toughness, and speed, with a “WE over ME” mentality and a commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the field.
Coach May and his wife, Afton, have four children and are proud to be part of the Kell community.
